This original set was crafted to resemble water hyacinth, a natural material known for its woven beauty. However, instead of being made from the delicate and often less durable water hyacinth, this design was handwoven in Indonesia using stronger, longer-lasting materials. The craftsmanship was impeccable, each weave placed with care to capture the natural look while offering durability for outdoor living.
Over the years, this Montana set has lived outdoors on a deck, surrounded by bamboo plants and olive trees. With so much nature around it, the furniture has naturally faced the elements —shade, moisture, and the ocassional splash of dirt.

To freshen it up, it even got the jet wash treatment, which helped restore its appearance and keep it looking loved rather than weathered.
What’s remarkable is not just the design, but the story it tells. Fourteen years on, this very first Montana set still stands as a testament to quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and enduring style. It’s more than furniture — it’s part of our history.

That’s the beauty of the Montana range: it isn’t just stylish, it’s built to last year after year. Unlike natural fibres that can weaken outdoors, the Montana weave was designed for endurance. This first set is living proof that when you invest in quality, you enjoy comfort and style that lasts for well over a decade.
