All of the Royal Horticultural Society competitions generate a mass of interest along with some stunning individual entries.
The RHS Photographer of the Year 2012 award has just been announced and if you have even the slightest interest in the great outdoors you should definitely take a look.
For top 2012 photographic award the prize of £1000 has gone to Josie Elias for her entry into the 'Gardens through the Season' category.
In all there were 7 RHS photographic award categories ranging from Abstract & Details though to the Children's Photographer (under 11 years)
My personal favourite was the Plant Portrait category where the 1st place went to Tom Hard. I think this would have been a close call with the Highly Commended entry from Tim Hunt.
