Wheelie Bin Cover FAQs

Why do I need a wheelie bin cover?

Wheelie bins aren’t the most attractive feature in a garden or driveway, and they’re often the first thing you see. A cover helps to keep them hidden and improves the overall look of your outdoor space.

Is the wheelie bin cover easy to use?

Yes, the lift up lid bin cover attaches directly to your wheelie bin. When you lift the lid of the cover, the wheelie bin lid lifts at the same time, making it a simple one-hand action. If you opt for the planter option it comes with a chain to tilt your bin into to quickly drop in a bag of rubbish. To get the bin out you just open the front doors and wheel the bin straight out, there are no obstructions.

Can the wheelie bin be locked?

Yes, many of our wheelie bin covers include front door locks, which also help prevent theft of your bin. Check the specific model for more details.

Can you stop people putting rubbish in my bin?

Yes. If you choose a planter-top wheelie bin cover with a door lock, the bin inside cannot be accessed by others.

Can the wheelie bin cover be secured to the ground?

Yes, the bottom frame includes fixing points so the cover can be secured in place.

Do the wheelie bin covers come fully assembled?

Covers are supplied flat-packed as standard, with all tools and instructions included for easy assembly. We also offer a full assembly service as an optional extra.

What’s the difference between a wheelie bin cover and a wheelie bin screen?

Covers are fully enclosed structures with tops, sides, and backs. Screens are modular panels designed to hide the front and sides of the bins but do not have tops.

Does the wheelie bin cover have a back?

Yes, all our covers come with full solid panel backs and sides.

Do the planter-top wheelie bin covers have drainage?

Yes, drainage holes are pre-drilled at the back of the planter to allow excess water to run off easily.

Are the wheelie bin covers durable?

Yes, they are built to last and made from powder-coated galvanised steel, providing excellent strength and weather resistance. Any models with wood-effect patterns are also UV printed, so they will not fade or peel off.

Security and Aesthetics Combined

Our covers are designed to protect your wheelie bins, with some providing additional accessories to accentuate your outdoor area. Our wheelie bin covers will improve the appearance of any outdoor area whilst providing security to prevent any unwanted access to your wheelie bins.

Weather Protection and Stability

They will also give your bins protection from the outdoor elements and any external debris that may damage the bin. These covers will fundamentally stop them from blowing away in any harsh winds! With our wheelie bin covers that include planters, these will allow you to match your outdoor area with your favourite plants and herbs.
