Birmingham has undergone an amazing transformation with many attractions to engage any would-be visitors. It also boasts three Michelin one star restaurants.
What you may not realise is that there are wealth of public gardens that are of real significance in terms of plant variety and garden design.
The Best Gardens to Visit in the Birmingham and Surrounding Areas
Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a personal favourite because of its easy-to-get-to location being situated only about 1.5 miles from the City centre. It can be visited throughout the year and it's Glasshouses contain many exotic plants from hotter climates that include an abundance of rare cacti and palms.
There are a number of other gardens worth seeking out that include Winterbourne House & Gardens, Blakesley Hall, Canon Hill Park, Lickey Hills Country Park and Waseley Hills Country Park.
