    Antique appeal with unique character …

    The timber used in this Carved Rustic Teak Bench is made from hand selected pieces of reclaimed teak and then individually cut and worked to form a unique piece of outdoor furniture.

    Hand cut mortice and tenon joints are reinforced with teak dowels for added strength and to make it suitable for regular use all year round.

    A lime wash adds further character and highlights the grain stunningly …

    The eye-catching antique carving on the backrest catches the eye and holds amazing attention to detail. This is again another feature that makes each one unique to the buyer.

    Teak naturally has a high oil content and this, combined with a dense grain, reduces the likelihood of cracking or splitting occurring over time.

    It also protects the timber against insect attack.

    The natural ageing process will lend the timber a silver-grey patina over time which is a much loved characteristic by many people. However, it can be removed on a warm day with mild soapy water and elbow grease, allowing plenty of time to dry.
