Yesterday we made a special delivery which included our eco-friendly plastic benches and A framed Picnic tables to the wonderful Royal Ballet School.
The Royal Ballet School is one of the world’s greatest centres of classical ballet training. Founded in 1926 it has inspired and taught generations of ballet students attracting the very best worldwide. We think it’s fantastic that there is no fee’s for admission to this school, instead basing acceptance purely on talent and potential. The school offers an 8 year dance course which has been carefully structured and fits with an extensive academic programme, with their mission being “to train and educate outstanding classical ballet dancers for The Royal Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet and other top international dance companies”
The school itself is based in two different buildings in Covent Garden and Richmond, one for 11-16 year olds and the other for 16-19 year olds. The building located in Richmond Park (11-16) is a beautiful Georgian building which was a former residence to royals built during the reign of King George II.
The recycled plastic benches and picnic tables were requested from us to give the students an area outside where they can sit and enjoy. It’s an excellent choice of product as they’re 100% maintenance free, weatherproof; UV stabilised and will stand the test of time. Textured to look like wood, we think they look great outside of this beautiful example of Georgian architecture and we know the ladies down at the school were extremely pleased with their order.
Jon Haimes the managing director here at The Garden Furniture Centre said it was a pleasure to deliver our benches to the school and to work with such a prestigious organisation. We hope the students enjoy the benches for many years to come and they give them an area to relax after all the hard work they put into their ballet.
