When we set out to design an exceptional gas grill in 1983, we had our work cut out for us. After all, being the top charcoal grill maker in the U.S., our standards were already set pretty high. But we believed that gas grill owners deserved the same great grilling experience Weber charcoal grill owners had always enjoyed. We invented a completely new cooking system that virtually eliminates flare-ups and offers ultimate control of cooking temperatures. Standard Weber features include:

Weather resistant work surfaces
Work surfaces are made of either granite-style thermoser, porcelain enamel on steel or stainless steel. These provides durability, heat resistance and ensures the surfaces are easily cleaned.

Dual purpose thermometer
This can be used to monitor the cooking temperature inside the grill or for use as a probe to check the temperature of the food.

Funneled bottom tray
Cooking juices and grease flow through the funnel into a catch pan for easy cleaning.

Easy to read fuel scale
Ensures you unlikely to run out of gas in the middle of cooking your meal!

Swing up work tables
Provide convenient work space for utensils and condiments.

Weber cooking system

The bbq itself has porcelain enamelled grates and a lid which is guaranteed not to rust, fade or peel. Instead of the common lava rock system, the weber range gas bbq's uses a unique 'flavorizer bar'. Cooking juices drip down and hit the steel bars, instead of flaring up they sizzle, smoke and give your food a rich outdoor flavour. Weber offer a 10 year limited warranty along with a 25 year warranty on the porcelain enamelled lid.

Cooking grates
Durable stainless steel or porcelain enamel coated steel provides years of exceptional grilling performance and easy maintenance.

Burner system
Stainless steel burners run the full length of the grill for even, energy-efficient heating. Weber's burner system includes variable valves for maximum control over direct and indirect cooking.

When you bring a shiny new grill home from the store, the last thing you want is a hassle putting it together. That's why every Weber® Genesis® and Summit® gas grill features StopWatch Engineering.

With no more than ten fasteners you'll go from box to burger in less than ten minutes for Genesis® gas grills and less than forty minutes for Summit® gas grills. In no time flat, the only tool you'll be wielding is a good spatula. Isn't that the way it should be?
