1.5m Table with Sofa and Chairs …
A stunning combination of Natural Kubu and Reclaimed Teak …
Kubu Rattan is a move away from the norm.
As opposed to the thinner, vine rattan Kubu grows on the forest floor making it thicker but still supple enough to weave into furniture.
It is then soaked in clay dried and cleaned off to give it the light grey, rustic appeal that makes the seating so attractive in this set.
And the armchairs and two seater sofa in this dining set are a great example hand finished by time served crafts people overseas.
With slightly angled backs and braided edges along the armrests and back the chairs and sofa are woven round solidly hand built cane frames with plastic capped feet for greater protection.
The reddish lustre of the teak combines superbly well with the light grey-brown of the kubu chairs to offer a rustic style dining indoor dining set.
The 1.5 metre reclaimed teak table is again hand finished and includes a lovely lime wash that highlights the grain stunningly.
Mortice and tenon joints are used in the construction of the table making it sturdy and solid for regular everyday use.
The use of a sofa coupled with armchairs adds a new dimension to the set as a whole.
