Due to the very size, the ribs of larger parasols positioned in the middle of a table did not fold flush to the central mast, but would rest on the tabletop edge. To overcome this problem a telescopic system has been introduced. This allows the crown of the parasol to elevate vertically taking the long ribs with it and allowing them to rest neatly alongside the central pole Additional Images:
